01The short version
Junk Magnet: Scrap Tycoon ("the game") is made by Vexil LLC. There are no accounts, and the game doesn't show ads. Your scrapyard is saved on your device. While Share Gameplay Analytics is on, the game uses GameAnalytics to collect gameplay and device data so we can improve it. You can turn off analytics event submission in Settings.
02What the game stores
Your saved progress and settings stay in the app's storage on your device. Progress includes coins, yards, vehicles, upgrades, your collection, achievements and daily rewards. Settings include sound, music, haptics and your analytics choice. Deleting the app deletes this local save. Gameplay and device data described below are sent separately to GameAnalytics while analytics sharing is on.
03What the game does not do
- No account, sign-up, email or phone number.
- No ads shown in the game.
- No in-app purchases.
- No request for location, contacts, camera or microphone permissions.
04Gameplay analytics
Share Gameplay Analytics is on by default. While it is on, the game uses GameAnalytics to collect gameplay events and device information so we can understand and improve the game. Events include:
- screens opened, and when a game starts;
- yards entered and bought, vehicles built, chosen and upgraded, and HQ upgrades;
- jobs completed, scrap discovered, rare finds and blueprints found;
- ranks reached, daily rewards claimed and hazards hit; and
- session information, plus your device model, operating system version, app version and language.
GameAnalytics associates events with a user or device identifier. On iOS, its default user ID is Apple's identifier for vendors (IDFV), which can be shared by apps from the same developer on one device. We do not ask for your name or email address to play.
The GameAnalytics iOS SDK's privacy declaration also lists product interaction, gameplay content, user and device IDs, advertising data, crash data, performance data and other diagnostic data as collected and linked to an identifier. We disclose these categories in the App Store even though the game does not display ads or send its own ad events.
To stop analytics event submission, turn off Settings › Share Gameplay Analytics. This choice is saved for future launches. It does not erase data already sent. To request deletion of an installation's analytics data, email [email protected].
05Save transfer
Transfer Save turns your progress into a code that you can copy and paste into the game on another device. The code never goes through our servers. It only leaves your device if you copy it somewhere yourself, so keep it private.
06App store ratings
The game may occasionally show the system's own rating prompt. Ratings go directly to Apple or Google, and we never see who rated.
07Children
The game does not ask players, including children, for names or contact details. The analytics collection described above can occur while Share Gameplay Analytics is on. A parent or guardian can turn it off in Settings or contact us to request deletion of previously sent analytics data.
08Changes
If the game ever collects more data, for example if ads or purchases are added, we'll update this policy before that version is released.
